About 108arts

108arts recognizes to consciously create is a right and gift to our human experience, that art increases cognitive function, and that expressing one’s creativity, helping others, and feeling a sense of community all have healing qualities.

108arts’ mission is to build empathy and camaraderie through art by producing, organizing, and/or facilitating participatory artworks and events that:

1. explore various cultures, landscapes, and histories,
2. provide art and the challenging questions it brings to those who may not regularly have access to it,
3. introduce participants to new processes and forms of art.

All 108arts productions have a media literacy component. Video, audio, and photographs captured by 108arts and participants are compiled and edited for educational, entertainment, and promotional purposes.
